Calvin Usiri

Calvin Usiri is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Member of the Openseed Operator Network since June 2024, Calvin contributes to supporting the Openseed VC portfolio. As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Ramani since August 2019, Calvin is instrumental in transitioning Africa's supply chain to cloud-based solutions. Previous roles include Software Engineer at Capgemini, where responsibilities involved programming and development using Java/J2EE and .NET frameworks, as well as Head of IT and Lead Engineer at Coldeclara, where Calvin implemented innovative technical solutions. Calvin began a career in software engineering with experience at Scraffic and StratMedical, where foundational skills in version control and Agile methodologies were developed. Calvin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Economics, and Business from Trinity University, completed in 2018.
