Kurt F.

Kurt F. has a strong background in firmware engineering with over two decades of experience. Kurt is currently serving as the Director of Firmware Engineering at Rambus starting from September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff Software Developer at Poly from April 2020 to September 2021, where they were responsible for the development and testing of Android-based firmware for voice, video, and desktop phones. Kurt also worked on software development for HTTPS web proxy on Android conference phone platforms running Microsoft Teams.

Before joining Poly, Kurt worked as a Firmware Contractor at GEO PSI - GEO Pressure Systems International Inc. from March 2018 to April 2020. Kurt also served as an Architecture Contractor at Microsemi Corporation from September 2017 to February 2018.

Kurt's previous experience includes working as a Staff Firmware Engineer at Istuary Innovation Group from October 2016 to September 2017, where they played a crucial role in developing data center networking SoC for next-generation firewalls. Kurt has also worked as a Technical Leader in Software Development at Microsemi Corporation from October 2014 to September 2016.

Prior to that, Kurt served as an Engineering Manager at Eaton from October 2011 to October 2014, where they led hardware, software, and mechanical engineering projects for rugged industrial-grade wireless remote control products. Kurt has also held leadership positions at PMC-Sierra and Teradici Corporation, where they contributed to firmware development.

Throughout their career, Kurt has demonstrated expertise in firmware development, technical leadership, and software development. Kurt has extensive experience in various industries, including telecommunications, semiconductor, and industrial control systems.

Kurt F. has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Kurt later went on to earn a Master of Engineering in Engineering Communications from the same institution.
