Haikel Bogale, Ph.D.

Haikel Bogale, Ph.D. has a background in genomics, bioinformatics, and parasite biology. Haikel is currently working as a Scientist at Rancho BioSciences since November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Genomics Specialist at APHL - Association of Public Health Laboratories since March 2022.

From February 2022 to November 2022, Haikel worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst II at the Institute for Genome Sciences. In this role, they utilized gene expression analyses, including Single-cell RNA-seq, to study parasite biology and vector/pathogen interactions. Haikel performed transcriptomic analysis pipelines on sequencing data from bulk and single cell samples and developed custom scripts and workflows in Python/Perl, R, and Bash for NGS data analyses.
