Lada Sycheva began their work experience in 2013 as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where they expressed and isolated a fragment of human von Willebrand factor and prepared grant proposals for funding. Lada then worked as an R&D intern at Sample6 in 2015, automating data processing and engineering bacteriophages. In 2016, Lada joined Affinivax Inc. as a Scientist I, where they expressed and purified carrier proteins and produced MAPS vaccines. Lada later became a Scientist II, leading a team to produce different vaccine variants against nosocomial pathogens and achieving promising results in animal studies. Lada co-founded bioReach.io in 2018, a position they held until 2019. Lada also worked as a Community support team member at CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) from January to May 2019. Currently, they serve as a Scientist at Rancho BioSciences since October 2019.
Lada Sycheva holds a PhD in Biotechnology and Bioengineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). Additionally, Lada has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Wyoming. In terms of additional certifications, they completed a course on "Work Smarter, Not Harder: Time Management for Personal & Professional Productivity" from Coursera in August 2020. In November 2016, they acquired a certification in "Making transition to leader/manager" from the Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation. Furthermore, Lada received a Coursera Verified Certificate for "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" in October 2014.
