Rob Beetel has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as a Senior Scientist at Rancho BioSciences, starting in May 2023. Before that, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Tempus Labs, Inc. from September 2021 to February 2023.

From January 2011 to March 2013, Rob was a Principal Biomedical Engineer at Medtronic/Ardian, contributing to the early development of renal ablation devices. Rob also worked at Ardian, Inc. as a Principal Biomedical Engineer from April 2009 to January 2011, where they contributed to early stage R&D efforts and supported clinical activities.
Rob's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Biomedical/Design Engineer at Ethicon Endosurgery from December 2006 to April 2009 and as a Senior Biomedical Engineer at covidien from May 2003 to December 2006. Rob Beetel earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The College of New Jersey, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Rob then pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, completing their doctoral studies from 1997 to 2003. In 2016 and 2017, Rob Beetel enrolled in Udacity, where they obtained a Machine Learning Nanodegree, focusing on the field of Machine Learning.
