Ana Lara, MAT-TESOL, MEd., currently serves as a High School Spanish Teacher at Compton Unified School District since September 2023 and as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor with Rancho Santiago Community College District since July 2022. Ana has previous experience as a Spanish Teacher at Anaheim Union High School District and Santa Ana Unified School District, as well as roles as a Youth Program Specialist and Senior Recreation Leader for the City of Westminster. Earlier experience includes teaching English as a language instructor with HOCATI and a student teaching position at Downey Unified School District. Ana's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching, TESOL from the University of Southern California, a Master's degree in Education from Universidad Iberoamericana Tijuana, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies from UCLA.
