Ron Rand

Focused and influential, Ron Rand is the President & CEO of Rand Group and has over 25+ years’ experience in implementing ERP solutions for clients in distribution, construction, oil & gas, and the service industry. A dedicated leader, Ron has built Rand Group over the last 17 years to fit his vision of a business management solution partner that does more than simply deliver software, it also delivers results. Rand Group has experienced a 40% growth rate year over year, expanding to four new markets since inception. His keen eye for detail, technical aptitude and drive for helping transition businesses has helped him lead the charge in these developments.

Ron instills a culture of success through company-wide dedication to treat each client with the utmost attention and respect. Enjoying a 100% client satisfaction and 95% client retention rate, Rand Group holds true to its service delivery promises. A trained and professional CPA, Ron transitioned himself from accounting practice to an impactful career in business management technology, where he uses both his educational background and professional experience to help clients do better business. Drawing on his proficiency in compliance and quality assurance, coupled with his technical background, Ron has also been an integral part of several Microsoft initiatives, including as a member on the inaugural CAE Advisory Board for Great Plains Software.

Ron’s overall focus is on improving his clients’ businesses through expertly selected and designed software solutions that match their industry-specific needs. Having spent the majority of his career working directly with the business decision makers at his client locations, Ron understands the driving concerns behind ERP selection, and can easily sit on both sides of the desk. His ingenuity and expertise when it comes to solving efficiency problems and streamlining accounting practices uniquely positions him to drive operational change.

Prior to forming Rand Group, Ron served as the Partner-in-Charge, Technology Consulting for Hein + Associates LLP. Ron holds a BS, Accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, is a licensed CPA and has practical Microsoft Great Plains Application experience.

Beyond his professional dedication, Ron is extensively committed to the Texas business community at large and focuses much of his personal time on acting as a business leader within the community. He is an active participant and supporter of the Houston Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston, public television station HoustonPBS (KUHT), Houston Public Radio (KUHF), Houston Symphony, Alley Theater and the Houston Zoo. He is also a past President of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners Houston Chapter and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, and Microsoft Partner Advisory Council. In 2013, he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Clear Creek Education Foundation.
