Charles E. Gibson III currently serves as the Chief Diversity Officer and Director of the Intercultural Center at Randolph College, focusing on inclusion, equity, social justice, and diversity. Previously, Gibson held the position of Research Associate at Appalachian State University and was the inaugural Chief Diversity Officer at Lees-McRae College, where efforts centered on fostering a culture of inclusion. Gibson's earlier roles include serving as Assistant to the Chief Diversity Officer of The Graduate School and as a Research Assistant at Penn State University, as well as working at Appalachian State University in support of the Graduate School Dean. Educationally, Gibson is pursuing a Doctor of Healthcare Administration at Virginia University of Lynchburg and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Appalachian State University. Gibson also holds multiple degrees in higher education and an undergraduate degree in Music and English from Wake Forest University.
