Virginia Li has a diverse work experience in software and firmware engineering. Virginia currently works as a Frontend Engineer at Randori, an IBM Company, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at IBM for 4 years, starting in July 2015. During their time at IBM, they held various roles including Software Engineer and Firmware Engineer. As a Firmware Engineer, they implemented PSXML panel flows, automated testing using Robot Framework with Selenium WebDriver, mentored apprentices, and utilized JavaScript to enhance a 2D interactive model of the mainframe. Virginia also holds a patent for their work on spatial and hierarchical placement of images at runtime.
Virginia Li completed their high school education at Brooklyn Technical High School from 2007 to 2011, and obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on Industrial and Product Design. Virginia then pursued their Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at Binghamton University from 2011 to 2015. After their formal education, Virginia Li obtained several additional certifications, including Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner and IBM Agile Explorer from IBM in November 2022. In August 2020, they also obtained the IBM Virtual Collaborator certification. Additionally, Virginia Li acquired the IBM Carbon Design System Developer Essentials - React certification in July 2019. Virginia has been recognized for their achievements in the field of patents, having received Patent Issuance in June 2019 and filing their First Patent in October 2018, both through their affiliation with IBM.
