David Bowman

David Bowman has extensive work experience in the field of network operations and information assurance. David began their career in 2001 as a COMSEC Custodian and CPN Operator for the US Army, and later became a Network and System Administrator, responsible for installation and maintenance of city wide communications and network systems. In 2012, they took on the role of SharePoint Administrator, where they built custom layouts and web-parts for a total concept design. In 2013, they were promoted to Network Operations Center Manager and Information Systems Monitoring, managing a team of 10 contractors and supervising joint military personnel and DoD civilians. In 2016, they returned to the US Army as an Instructor, creating training curriculum and modules for specialty systems used within the realm of COMSEC and Key Management Infrastructure. In 2018, they joined Succeed to Lead, LLC as an Instructor. In 2019, they took a role as an Information Assurance Specialist at By Light Professional IT Services, where they created educational curriculum for an immersive distance learning program. In 2021, they joined Axiom Bank, N.A. as a Network Administrator, where they fully implemented 802.1x for all physical connections and transitioned from a completely managed firewall solution to an in-house Cisco Firepower device. Currently, they are employed at The Ranger Group as a Network Admin.

David Bowman is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security from Western Governors University, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from CompTIA, including CompTIA Project+ (obtained in February 2021), CompTIA PenTest+ (obtained in April 2021), CompTIA A+ (obtained in May 2020), CompTIA Network+ ce (obtained in February 2013), and CompTIA Security+ ce (obtained in October 2012).
