James Taylor has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. James recently worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Rangers Football Club starting in September 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Zonal Retail Data Systems from December 2020 to September 2023.

James Taylor attended Jordanhill School from 1995 to 2001. James then went on to study at the University of Glasgow from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a BACC (Honours) degree with a 2:1 in Accountancy with Finance. Following that, from 2005 to 2008, they attended ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs, where they earned the degree of Chartered in Accounting and Finance. Later, from 2015 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Strathclyde. No specific field of study was mentioned for their MBA.
