John Torgersen

John Torgersen is an experienced design engineer and former engineering manager with a diverse background in retail displays. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer at Rapid Displays and the Outform Group since May 2011, John transitioned from management to focus on engineering from a home office near Portland, Oregon. Prior to this, John was President of Torgersen Designs from August 1989 to May 2011, where a wide variety of retail displays and trade show exhibits were engineered and manufactured. Additional roles include Engineering Manager at Mobile Technologies Inc. from December 1995 to September 1999, overseeing the mechanical engineering department for retail automobile stereo store fixtures, and Head Engineer at PMSI from 1986 to 1989, responsible for engineering and prototyping interactive and static retail displays, notably for the "Teddy Ruxpin" and "Laser Tag" products.
