Jonathan Chu

Jonathan Chu is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software development and product delivery. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Rapid Robotics, Inc., Jonathan is responsible for overseeing software initiatives and the deployment of robotic work cells that integrate advanced technologies such as 3D computer vision and generative AI. Prior to this, Jonathan held key positions at FarmWise as Lead - Backend, managing web infrastructure for autonomous weeding robots, and at WePay as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on payments integration. Additional experiences include engineering management at Zipcar, technical co-founding at Sonar, and senior software engineering roles at ClearSlide and TriTek Solutions. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
