Mohammad Azfar has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Mohammad currently works as a Fabric Verification Engineer at Rapid Silicon since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as an RTL Design & Verification Engineer at Rapid Silicon from May 2022 to March 2023.
Before joining Rapid Silicon, Mohammad worked as an International Scholar at imec from September 2021 to April 2022. Their project focused on simulating the dynamic interaction between main-memory and storage, specifically exploring the hybrid main-memory structure using emerging memory technologies.
Earlier in 2021, Mohammad worked as a Researcher at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Their responsibilities included RTL design of AI accelerators and studying memory crossbar architectures for in-memory computing.
In 2019, Mohammad gained experience as an Embedded Software Developer at Siemens Digital Industries Software. Their tasks involved working on board support packages and developing applications with Mentor's Nucleas RTOS.
Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant at NUST School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in 2019, where they upgraded the Microprocessor Systems course syllabus to include RISC-V architecture, designed laboratory exercises, and gave live hardware demonstrations during lectures.
Mohammad Azfar completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) between the years 2016 and 2020. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in various subjects. In July 2020, they completed the certification program "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera. During the same month, they also obtained certifications in "VLSI CAD Part II: Layout (with Honors)" and "VLSI CAD Part I: Logic (with Honors)" from Coursera.
