Veronica Barraza

Veronica Barraza is an expert in data science and computer vision, currently working at Rappi, where responsibilities include implementing OCR models using YOLO and developing CNN models with transfer learning techniques. With extensive experience in managing chargeback models and credit risk assessment, Veronica has contributed significantly to fraud detection and financial decision-making. In addition to roles at multiple educational institutions as a professor and mentor in data science, Veronica has a strong research background, particularly in remote sensing and environmental analysis, obtained through previous positions at CONICET and other organizations. Academic qualifications include a Master's in Statistics and Data Science, a PhD in Ecology with a focus on remote sensing, and various specializations in data science.
