Mariel Van Norman

Mariel Van Norman has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. Mariel began their career as a Seamstress at Melvinopolis, then moved on to become a DJ at WUAG 103.1 (UNCG Campus Radio) in 2007. In 2014, they took a Front Desk position at Custom Express Embroidery & Screen Printing, followed by an Instructor role at Tech Talent South in 2015. In 2016, they became an Engineering Consultant at Levvel.io, then a Designer at La Patrona Bakery in 2017. In 2020, they took a Senior Software Engineer role at Emporos Systems Corporation, and is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Raptor Maps \u2014 Solar Software since 2022.

Mariel Van Norman attended Chapel Hill High School from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained their High School diploma. Mariel then attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a degree in Media Studies with a focus on Film and Television Studies. In 2015, they completed a Code Immersion Program at Tech Talent South Charlotte.
