Bryan Davidson

Bryan Davidson's work experience spans over two decades and encompasses various roles in the software and research fields. Bryan is currently the Software Manager at RareCyte, Inc., where they oversee the software team and manages multiple projects for research and development of new hardware and software products.

Prior to their current role, Davidson worked at Luminex Corporation as a Senior Algorithm Scientist from 2019 to 2021. In this position, they developed customer-facing software tools incorporating advanced algorithms for data analysis and real-time data acquisition. Bryan collaborated closely with scientists, engineers, marketing, and sales teams and also provided mentorship and education for new employees.

From 2011 to 2018, Davidson worked at MilliporeSigma as a Senior Software Engineer. Bryan was the technical lead for the development of algorithms and new workflows for imaging flow cytometers. Bryan collaborated with bio, mechanical, and optical engineers to develop instrumentation, real-time image processing, post-processing, and analysis software.

Prior to MilliporeSigma, Davidson worked at Amnis Corporation as a Software Engineer from 2009 to 2011. Here, they developed real-time instrument software and post-processing data analysis software. Bryan was responsible for soliciting requirements, designing workflows and user interfaces, and supporting on-market products.

Davidson's early career included roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona from 2006 to 2009, where they developed an automated system for using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). Bryan also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from 2006 to 2007 in the optics lab of the biomedical engineering department.

Additionally, Davidson gained experience as a Summer Student Intern at Sandia National Laboratories from 2001 to 2006 and as a NASA Space Grant Student Intern at the University of Arizona from 2004 to 2005.

Bryan Davidson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from 2007 to 2009.
