Dr. Gordon J. V. has a vast and diverse work experience. Dr. Gordon J. is the Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of RareMed Solutions, a company that offers comprehensive support services for orphan and ultra-orphan products. Prior to this, they were the Managing Partner at RxELENTLESS CAPITAL. Dr. Gordon J. served as an Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy & Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, where they provided guidance for graduate and undergraduate programs integrating business and medicine. Dr. Gordon also held the position of Executive Advisor at PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy, a specialty pharmacy specializing in orphan drugs and rare diseases. Dr. Gordon J. served as the Chairman of the Board at GreenCare US and the Chief Executive Officer & Chairman at WellCo Medical Solutions. Their earlier experiences include being the Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of University Pharmacotherapy Associates, LLC and Executive Vice President of Business Development and Chief Clinical Officer at CVS Procare. Throughout their career, Dr. Gordon J. V. has demonstrated expertise in the healthcare industry and a focus on providing custom solutions for the unique needs of biotech firms and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Dr. Gordon J. V. has a diverse education history. Dr. Gordon J. first completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy from 1979 to 1984. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Duquesne University from 1984 to 1986, specializing in pharmacology, cardiology, and thromboembology. Dr. Gordon also completed a Residency in clinical, hospital, and managed care pharmacy at UPMC Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh during the same period. In 1987-1988, they furthered their education by completing a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, before pursuing a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business from 1988 to 1991. In addition to their education, Dr. Gordon has obtained certifications as a Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider from the NATIONAL CERTIFICATION BOARD FOR ANTICOAGULATION PROVIDERS INC, and holds an FAA Private Pilot License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
