Vamsidhar Rao

Vamsidhar Rao brings over 25 years of experience in the maintenance and management of mechanical systems, primarily within the steel industry. Currently serving as Deputy General Manager (Maintenance) and ISO CAT IV Vibration Analyst at Vizag Steel since July 1998, Vamsidhar has extensive expertise in the maintenance of rotating machinery, condition monitoring, and vibration analysis. Previous roles at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant include Assistant General Manager in Power Engineering Maintenance and Senior Manager in Maintenance, focusing on the mechanical upkeep of high-speed rotating machinery and overseeing major equipment overhauls. Early career experience includes a position as Junior Engineer at Kirlampudi Sugar Mills, where responsibilities encompassed operational and maintenance oversight of boilers, turbines, and mills. Vamsidhar holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sir CRR College of Engineering, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from ICFAI University, and is currently pursuing a PGPEx in Business Administration and Management at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam.
