Alexander Tyr

Alexander Tyr is currently serving as a Verksamhetsutvecklare and Scientific Advisor at Rättsmedicinalverket, the Swedish National Board of Forensic Medicine, since March 2022. Prior to this role, Alexander held a position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Karolinska Institutet from March 2021 to March 2022 and worked as a Field Application Specialist at ONI from March 2020 to March 2021. Alexander's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedicine and a Master’s Degree in Human Anatomy, both obtained from The University of Edinburgh, where studies spanned from 2015 to 2020 and 2014 to 2015, respectively. Alexander also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences (Human Health) from Heriot-Watt University, completed in 2014. Additionally, Alexander has academic experience as an Anatomy Demonstrator at The University of Edinburgh from September 2015 to September 2018.
