Gurkern Sufi

Gurkern Sufi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

From 2015 to present, they worked at Ravata Solutions, starting as the Chief Operations Officer and later becoming the Chief Executive Officer in November 2018. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in overseeing the company's operations and leading its strategic direction.

From 2017 to 2020, Gurkern also worked as a Lawrence Berkeley National Labs Affiliate for the U.S. Department of Energy. In this role, they were affiliated with the Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, contributing to their research and projects.

In 2014, Gurkern worked as an Immunology Research Associate at the California National Primate Research Center. Here, they collaborated with researchers from the University of Colorado on a necrotizing enterocolitis research study. Their responsibilities included handling and analyzing a large volume of diseased colon samples using various image processing software.

Prior to that, from 2013 to 2015, Gurkern worked as a Bioinformatician at the University of California Plant Sciences Department. Gurkern focused on walnut transcriptome research, where they compared transcript expression of the phenylpropanoid biosynthetic pathway in a walnut tree across different locations and seasons. Their tasks involved data manipulation, extraction, and analysis using Perl and Python programming languages.

Lastly, in 2012, Gurkern worked as a Cardiology Data Research Analyst at the University of California Medical Center in the Cardiology-Electrophysiology Lab. Gurkern conducted a retrospective cardiac ablation study on adult patients, utilizing Python to build a search engine for the department's database and reviewing medical records to determine study eligibility.

Throughout their work experience, Gurkern has demonstrated strong analytical and research skills, as well as leadership capabilities in their executive roles.

Gurkern Sufi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology-Bioinformatics from the University of California, Davis between the years 2011 and 2015.
