Scott Whitfield

Scott Whitfield has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Scott has held various leadership roles and provided consulting services to different organizations.

From 2017, Scott worked at Ravensdown as the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for leading a team in designing and delivering technology solutions for the Agriculture sector. Their expertise includes business strategy, IT operations, software engineering, and cyber security.

Prior to that, Scott worked as a contract consultant, providing business and technology consulting to different organizations from November 2016 to April 2017.

From 2013 to 2016, they served as the GM of Application Development at Wynyard Group, where they led the development of digital products for clients in Law Enforcement and National Intelligence markets.

Scott also worked at Jade Software Corporation as an Architect and Engineering Manager from 2011 to 2013, where they led the development of a Financial Crime solution across multiple regions.

Before that, they worked at Infosys, continuing their role as a Technical Architect, Engineering Manager, and Consultant following the sale of Gen-i Software Solutions. Their responsibilities included consulting on the Christchurch rebuild.

Scott had extensive experience at Gen-i, where they held multiple roles including Principal Architect, Engineering Manager, and Consultant. Scott provided business and technology consulting, established outsourced development contracts, and led software engineering activities.

Scott began their career at Wang New Zealand as a Software Engineer and Consultant, working on the design and development of various business solutions.

Scott Whitfield completed their education at several institutions. From 2016 to 2019, they attended the University of Canterbury and obtained a Master of Business Administration with Distinction (MBA) in the field of Business Administration, Management, and Strategy. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2016, Scott pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership (PGCertStratLdrship) at the same university. In the earlier years, from 1998 to 2004, they studied at Massey University, focusing on Computer Science / Information Science through various papers. Before that, from 1995 to 1997, Scott obtained a Certificate in Business Computing (CBC) from CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology). In addition to their formal education, Scott has also obtained certifications as a Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and as an Open Water Diver from PADI.
