Karen Schreiner

Karen Schreiner currently serves as the Assistant Director of Teaching & Learning at Ravenswood City School District and as a Literacy Consultant for CORE Learning and a Professional Learning Facilitator at UnboundEd, where significant emphasis is placed on advancing literacy achievement through the Science of Reading. Previously, at Education for Change Public Schools, Karen achieved a substantial increase in early literacy proficiency and led numerous professional development initiatives. Karen's extensive experience includes roles as an Elementary School Principal in Oakland Unified School District, where student growth in Math and ELA was realized, and various teaching and mentoring positions at Aspire Public Schools and Springfield Public Schools, highlighting a commitment to equity-focused practices and responsive classroom strategies.
