Sam Abbott

Sam Abbott is a Senior Programme Manager at RAW Charging, responsible for managing the rollout of EV Charging infrastructure for National Trust and Merlin, while also leading process improvements in deployment activities. Prior to this role, Sam held the position of Technical Specialist in Energy Systems & Infrastructure at Cenex, focusing on EV charging standards and Vehicle to Grid technology. Sam's engineering background includes significant experience at Rolls-Royce, where responsibilities encompassed thermofluid systems for the Trent XWB-84EP engine and contributions to a turbine life extension programme as part of a graduate scheme. Early career experiences include roles at TE Connectivity and Aero Engine Controls, focusing on numerical modeling and test engineering, respectively. Sam holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and participated in the Erasmus Programme at Grenoble INP - UGA, focusing on Responsible Design.
