Andrew Mellor has extensive experience in the IT field, working across multiple companies and roles. Andrew started their career at Bournemouth University in 1990 as an IT Support Analyst, where they provided support for a token ring network and programming in Ada and C. Andrew also implemented a Remedy Help Desk system. From 1995 to 1998, they worked at Gillbrook Technology College as an IT Support Analyst, focusing on Windows NT Server support, desktop support, and application testing and rollout. Andrew then joined Caterpillar in 1998 as an IT Support Analyst, specializing in operations and support for Windows Server, TSM, SAN, and NAS technologies. Andrew also provided desktop support and managed in-house business systems. In 2014, they joined Capita Document & Information Services as an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer. In this role, they supported the document scanning, management, transfer, and warehousing operations of the business. Andrew installed, supported, and administered systems used in operations and provided desktop support for business customers. Most recently, Andrew has been working at Razorblue Group since 2017, initially as an Infrastructure Engineer and currently as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
Andrew Mellor attended Keele University from 1985 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Music and Physics. Andrew then studied at The Open University from 1990 to 1996, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing. In 1995, they pursued further education at Teesside University and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in the use of Information Technology for Technicians.
