Philipp Sorgenfrei

Philipp Sorgenfrei currently serves as the Head of Advisory for Generative AI at Borealis AI, focusing on aligning banking business needs with AI technologies to advance generative AI solutions and ensure responsible AI deployment in line with RBC's principles. Prior experience includes eight years at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, where Philipp specialized in enterprise data quality and AI transformations for banking and investment clients, as well as select sectors like logistics and mining. As a Lead Analyst at AlphaSights, Philipp contributed to the growth of the Middle East office in Dubai, and earlier experience includes a role as an Analyst in venture capital at Sirius Venture Partners. Philipp holds a Master of Philosophy in Management from the University of Cambridge and a combined MA with Honors in Economics and Arabic from the University of St Andrews and The American University in Cairo.
