Sherman Adkins

Sherman Adkins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sherman co-founded and currently serves as the Founder & Chief Visionary Officer for Recognizing Children's Gifts Behavioral Health Network, where they oversee the organizational structure, manages fiscal accountability, and evaluates work processes for continuous quality improvement.

In 2019, Sherman co-founded MySpectrum Counseling & Coaching, an outpatient therapy practice, and serves as a Managing Partner responsible for the overall supervision of the business and affairs of the company.

Sherman also co-founded EMS of Virginia, a mental health company, in 2005 and served as a Managing Partner, taking charge of the general overall supervision of the business and ensuring compliance with operating agreements and regulations.

Previously, Sherman worked at St. Joseph's Villa as an Accounting Manager, where they managed and developed the accounting staff and led a debt restructuring and merger that provided significant financial improvements to the organization.

Prior to that, they worked at Wachovia Corp as an Assistant Vice President - Municipal Bond Trading, responsible for providing capital to state and local government agencies for infrastructure projects. Sherman managed a large municipal bond inventory during their tenure.

Sherman also has experience as a Financial Advisor at American Express, where they provided financial planning to individuals and small businesses, developed business development strategies, and analyzed clients' financial needs and goals.
