Nila Makhfi

Co-president - USC Chapter at REACH

Nila Makhfi has a diverse work experience. Nila has worked as the Operations Director for REACH, a social media organization focused on fostering a community of creative individuals. Nila also served as the Co-President of the UCLA Chapter of REACH, where they led a team in creating a thriving community and forming partnerships with top brands.

Additionally, Nila co-founded Khatar Design, a clothing brand that seeks to introduce Persian culture through fashion. Nila dealt with all aspects of running the start-up.

Nila has also been an intern at AXS, where they worked on advertising campaigns and monitored content performance. At Snap Inc., Nila was selected as a scholar for a marketing and communications program.

In their academic pursuits, Nila has been involved in various clubs and organizations at Irvine Valley College, including participation in the Public Health Kaiser Research Program, leadership roles in clubs like UNICEF and She's the First, and membership in the Persian and French clubs.

Furthermore, Nila has been a member of Psi Beta National Honors Society, where they engaged in discussions and community service related to psychology. Nila also completed the Transfer Alliance Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Lastly, they were a member of IVC Business Leaders Society and worked as a Sales and Marketing Intern at Name Gallery Co., where they learned about marketing methods.

Nila Makhfi completed an Associate of Arts degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Studies from Irvine Valley College from 2020 to 2022. Nila then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at UCLA from 2022 to 2024. In 2021, Nila also studied Psychology at Saddleback College. Nila obtained additional certifications including the North America Apps Certification from Snap Inc., the Honors Program - Transfer Alliance Program (TAP) Certificate from Irvine Valley College, the NSLS Foundations of Leadership Training Program from The National Society of Leadership and Success, and the National Honor Society in Psychology for Community Colleges from Psi Beta National.
