Ryusei Best Hayashi

Ryusei Best Hayashi's work experience begins in 2017 with a scholarship from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), where they participated in a training program focused on Japanese culture and society. In 2019, Ryusei became the Director General of the A-JIS Student Council, implementing a new organizational culture and leadership format.

In 2020, Ryusei was selected as a Stanford e-Japan Scholar, participating in an online course on US and Japan cultures and societies and presenting research findings at a school conference. That same year, they founded Reach Best, an AI app that simplifies university applications for international high school students, with a mission to democratize university admissions support.

In 2021, Ryusei took on multiple roles at the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), including Senator Political Candidate and Director of International Affairs, where they led various projects and events. Ryusei also participated in the Harvard Innovation Challenge SEA II as an alumnus, working on a pitch for a career mismatch and job dissatisfaction-solving app.

Recently, in 2022, Ryusei became a Startup Founder at Berkeley SkyDeck, participating in both Batch 14 and Batch 15. Ryusei'swork experience demonstrates leadership, entrepreneurship, and a strong commitment to improving educational opportunities and international relations.

Ryusei Best Hayashi's education history is as follows:

From 2009 to 2018, Ryusei attended Liceo Mexicano Japonés, where they completed their secondary and primary school education.

Between 2018 and 2021, Ryusei enrolled in Aoba-Japan International School, where they pursued the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and successfully obtained their High School Diploma.

Starting in 2021 and expected to continue until 2025, Ryusei is attending the University of California, Berkeley. Ryusei is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Political Science.

In addition to their formal education, Ryusei has obtained two additional certifications. In November 2019, they completed the Certificate of Completion Level 1 from Global Public Service Academies. Furthermore, in May 2021, Ryusei obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) from the International Baccalaureate.
