Kaitlyn Crawford

Kaitlyn Crawford has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Kaitlyn started their career as a First Year Computer Science tutor at the University of Cape Town in 2011, where they mentored and assisted students in Python programming and also graded assignments. Later that year, they interned at Quirk for a brief period, gaining exposure to development work. In 2011, Kaitlyn also interned at Unboxed Consulting, where they learned Ruby and Ruby on Rails and worked in an agile environment, focusing on test-driven development.

In 2012, Kaitlyn pursued an Honours degree in Computer Science at the University of Cape Town. During this time, they completed coursework in various areas including security, mobile development, web development, and database systems. For their final project, they created a website that allows users to explore 3D models of heritage caves.

In 2013, Kaitlyn joined 2go Interactive as a Junior Developer, a role they held until 2015. During this time, they gained practical experience and developed their skills further.

In 2015, Kaitlyn joined the Praekelt Foundation as a Software Developer, where they are currently employed.

Kaitlyn Crawford completed their education at the University of Cape Town from 2009 to 2011, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Their field of study within the program focused on Computer Science and Games Design. Prior to that, they attended Sutherland High School from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a National Senior Certificate.
