Veronica Hitchen

Veronica Hitchen is a dedicated professional with experience in educational and program coordination roles. Currently serving as a Program Coordinator at Reach Out and Read of Greater New York since February 2023, Veronica has previously worked as an Associate Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools and as a Logistics Manager at Plato Learning LLC. Academic involvement includes research assistance at Mount Holyoke College's Identity Salience Lab, where research focused on social class influences on student experiences, and the Cognition and Literacy Lab, where eye-tracking data was analyzed. Additional experience includes roles in Accessibility Services, non-profit management with the New York Council Navy League, and collaborative literacy initiatives with underserved communities. Veronica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education from Mount Holyoke College.
