Rupak Thapaliya

Rupak Thapaliya is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental policy and renewable energy management. Currently serving as a Product Manager II at Reactivate since June 2023, Rupak previously held the position of Senior Associate at the Clean Energy Buyers Association from October 2021 to June 2023. Prior to this role, Rupak was a Senior Analyst in Renewable Energy and Wildlife Policy at Defenders of Wildlife and contributed significantly as the Associate Director at American Rivers, where leadership of the hydropower program occurred from 2015 to 2017. Earlier career roles include coordinating a coalition of over 150 conservation groups as the HRC National Coordinator and working with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency as an intern. Rupak holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Management from Luther College, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University.
