Kalle Saari

Kalle Saari has a long and varied work experience. Kalle began their career in 2003 as a research assistant at the University of Turku. In 2010, they became a postdoctoral researcher at the same university. From 2012 to 2016, they served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Winnipeg. During this time, they also worked as a data scientist at Placed. In 2016, they became a senior researcher at F-Secure Corporation. From 2013 to 2019, Saari was a student in machine learning and data mining at Aalto University School of Science and Technology. From 2017 to 2019, they held the roles of Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at Snap Inc. Kalle then worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Foursquare from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Saari is a Research Data Scientist at Facebook and a Principal Data Scientist at Read AI.

Kalle Saari obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Turku in 2008. Prior to that, they earned their Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Turku in 2003. Kalle also holds a verified certificate for Introduction to Apache Spark from edX.
