Y-Vonne Hutchinson

Y-Vonne Hutchinson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Y-Vonne started their career as a Research Assistant at the UN Institute for Disarmament Research in 2005. Y-Vonne then served as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of State in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Research Consultant at Altai Consulting and also as a Consultant at Management Systems International.

In 2008, Y-Vonne became a Researcher at Magna Carta Institute, where they managed and coordinated multiple research projects in the fields of international law, terrorism, legal education, and human rights. Y-Vonne later joined the International Rescue Committee as a Rule of Law Fellow in 2008 and transitioned to become a Fellow at the Broad Impact campaign in 2010, where they provided advisory services for a national marriage equality awareness-raising campaign.

From 2012 to 2015, Y-Vonne worked at the La Isla Foundation as the Interim COO/Senior Director of Law and Human Rights, where they were responsible for producing and authoring reports on labor conditions and human rights violations, as well as strategic planning and budgetary oversight.

In 2015, Y-Vonne founded their own diversity solutions firm called ReadySet, where they served as CEO/Founder. ReadySet specializes in helping innovative companies become more diverse and inclusive, and their work has been recognized and featured in several prominent media outlets.

Most recently, in 2016, Y-Vonne became a Founding Team Member at Project Include, a non-profit organization focused on improving diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

Y-Vonne Hutchinson pursued their education in a chronological manner. Y-Vonne attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1999 to 2003 where they completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Later, from 2004 to 2007, they attended Harvard Law School and obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
