Jeffrey Pitman has over 20 years of work experience in the aerospace industry. Jeffrey is currently working as a Senior Systems Engineer at Real Time Consulting LLC since March 2021. Previously, they worked at HeliTrak, Inc. from March 2012 to January 2020 as a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer, where they specialized in model-based development and produced control law requirements and flight test data reduction tooling for a rotorcraft autopilot program.

Before that, Jeffrey worked at Gulfstream Aerospace from July 2007 to March 2012 as a Technical Specialist III. In this role, they developed a systems engineering infrastructure for the verification and validation of model-based control law requirements for the G650 primary flight control system.

From February 2002 to July 2007, Jeffrey worked at Honeywell Aerospace as a Senior Engineer, where they developed Fly-by-Wire rigging and built-in-test models for the Embraer ERJ-170. Jeffrey also resolved issues related to automated code generation and de-bugged hand-coded signal I/O.

Jeffrey also gained experience at The Boeing Company as a Contract Engineer in the 777 Hydraulic Servomechanisms Group from January 2001 to January 2002. Prior to that, they worked at Eaton Aerospace as a Project Engineer, supporting the transfer of a product line and providing engineering support for various projects.

Throughout their career, Jeffrey has demonstrated expertise in model-based development, requirements capture and validation, and compliance with safety-critical design assurance standards such as DO-178B, ARP-4754A, and ARP-4761. Jeffrey has also utilized tools such as DOORS, Simulink, and MATLAB scripts to support their work.

Jeffrey Pitman earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they attended from 1987 to 1991. In addition, they hold certifications such as the ARRL Extra Class Accredited Volunteer Examiner, obtained in September 2019 from ARRL, the national association for Amateur Radio, and the FCC Amateur Extra Radio License, obtained in May 2018 from the RADIO CLUB OF TACOMA INC.
