Roy Bingham has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Roy is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of BDSA, a leading provider of cannabis industry data and insights. Prior to this role, they held the position of Co-Founder and Board Member at BDSA from 2015 to 2021. Roy is also a Co-Founder and Board Member of Realize Therapeutics, a clinical stage research and development company, since 2021. Roy co-founded Cutting Edge Cultures, a specialty healthy foods company, in 2014 and served as a board member. In addition, Roy has served as a Board Member, Advisor, and Consultant for two technology companies, two CPG companies, and two private equity firms since 2020. Roy gained valuable experience as SVP and GM Direct Channel at Renew Life Formulas Inc. from 2010 to 2014, where they were responsible for the Advanced Naturals professional business and direct-to-consumer eCommerce. Roy also served as VP of eCommerce at Renew Life Formulas Inc. from 2008 to 2010, where they established and managed the eCommerce division. Before that, they were a Partner at NourishLife, LLC, an online consumer healthcare/nutraceuticals products company, from 2006 to 2008. Roy's career began at Health Business Partners, LLC, where they worked as a Partner from 1997 to 2006, building a leading specialist consulting and financial advisory firm. Roy started their career as a Consultant at McKinsey & Co., where they focused on strategy development and organizational improvements for Fortune 500 clients from 1995 to 1997. Roy also gained valuable experience at Paragon PLC, a UK IPO, where they served in various roles and became an Executive Director, raising over $6 billion in financing transactions from 1988 to 1993. Roy began their professional journey at National Westminster Bank PLC, where they held various positions and eventually became an Assistant Manager from 1984 to 1988.
Roy Bingham obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Economics from Lancaster University from 1981 to 1984. Roy then pursued further education at the Chartered Institute of Bankers from 1985 to 1989, earning an ACIB degree in International Banking. Roy later attended Harvard Business School, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from 1993 to 1995, focusing on the field of Business.
