Laura Durfee

Laura Durfee, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Laura is currently employed at Really Great Reading as a People and Culture Lead. Laura co-founded Durfee Dry, LLC. in 2021, where they serve as the Co-Founder of Rocky Top Hop, the premier beverage line of the company. Prior to that, Laura worked at Galaxy Vets as the Vice President of People and Culture. Laura also held multiple roles at Zealandia Holding Company, including Senior Vice President of People and Culture for LaTour Hotels and Resorts, Resort Hospitality Solutions, and Senior Director and Director of Human Resources for Resort Hospitality Solutions and Patton Hospitality Management respectively. Earlier in their career, Laura worked at ASG Worldwide as a Human Resources Manager and Michelin in a Human Resources role. Laura started their professional journey at OSI Restaurant Partners as a Manager and Trainer. Laura's experience includes handling recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and budget management.

Laura Durfee, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP holds a Masters degree in Human Resources from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Winthrop University. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including SHRM-SCP from SHRM in 2015, Global Professional in Human Resources from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2014, and Senior Professional in Human Resources from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2013.
