Johan Jern

Johan Jern is a seasoned technology professional with a robust background in software engineering and leadership. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO at Realm Technologies since May 2023, Johan is focused on workplace search reimagined with AI. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Lead at Pipe, where responsibilities encompassed engineering execution for the Capital Products and Credit Risk team, and as a Software Engineer contributing to core systems in a fintech unicorn. Additional experiences include visiting associate at Boston Consulting Group, internships at Palantir Technologies, Stripe, and an engineering role at Smartly.io. Johan's early career features a notable achievement of winning the Elisa Innovation Challenge at Slush 2016 while interning at Emergence Oy, along with military service as a Second Lieutenant in the Finnish Defence Forces. Johan holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Aalto University, complemented by exchange studies at the National University of Singapore.
