Jim Helvig

Jim Helvig, P.E. has more than 20 years of experience in the power delivery industry, and served as Realtime’s Vice President of Electrical Engineering for five years. As President, Jim is responsible for leading all aspects of Realtime’s operations. He provides leadership, expertise, vigor, and passion for the betterment and growth of Realtime, through adherence to Realtime’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Jim is responsible for preserving a strong company culture with a focus on outstanding engineering deliverables that meet our customers’ needs, resulting in lasting relationships. Jim has extensive experience in providing engineering services for IOU and G&T/COOP utility customers, as well as renewable owners, developers, and electrical contractors. Through his 25 years of military service, Jim brings a team level focus on leadership that creates a strong culture of mutual accountability and technical excellence. He has served as a RMEL Foundation Board Member, held several leadership positions in the IEEE, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
