Software Engineering Manager at Recidiviz

Lili Dworkin's work experience includes several key roles and positions at various companies.

Lili currently serves as a Software Engineering Manager at Recidiviz since February 2022. In this role, they manage the Justice Counts engineering team, which is responsible for the technical infrastructure of the Justice Counts initiative, a project funded by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Before joining Recidiviz, Lili worked at Facebook from 2018 to 2022. Lili initially joined as a Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead. During their time at Facebook, Lili led successful large-scale initiatives, including the design and implementation of a new experiment analysis pipeline and dashboard, as well as improvements to reduce SQL storage logic latency.

Prior to Facebook, Lili was a Software Engineer at Socratic from 2015 to 2018. Lili primarily worked on the development of the socratic.org website and the Socratic mobile app. Additionally, they developed a machine learning system for predicting the course and topic of homework questions.

Lili also gained experience as a Research Intern at Microsoft in 2015, where they worked on a human behavioral experiment related to the Prisoner's Dilemma game. Lili designed and built the infrastructure for the experiment, which was later published in Nature Communications.

Before their internships, Lili pursued their Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2015. Lili also worked as a Backend Software Engineer at Alphonso Labs in 2012 and as a Research Intern at UC Berkeley in 2010. Additionally, Lili gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Haverford College in 2009 and as a Software Development Intern at Bio-Optronics in 2008.

Lili Dworkin completed their education in a chronological manner, starting from 2007 to 2011 at Haverford College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Following that, from 2011 to 2015, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
