Joe Cefalu

Joe Cefalu has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Joe is currently working as the Senior Director of In Vivo Pharmacology at ReCode Therapeutics since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pharmacyclics from 2015 onwards, holding the position of Associate Director/Vivarium Manager, Animal Services Group. Before Pharmacyclics, Joe worked at Boston Scientific as a Senior Research Associate from 2013 to 2015. Joe also worked at SRI International as a Research Scientist in the Translational Neuroscience Department from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, Joe held various roles at Roche Palo Alto from 1998 to 2010, including Research Scientist in the Inflammation Respiratory Diseases Department, Research Scientist in the Inflammation Pain Department, Research Scientist in the Genitourinary Department, and Research Associate. Joe started their career as a Research Assistant at Centaur Pharmaceuticals in 1997.

Joe Cefalu attended Santa Clara University from 1993 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
