Jung-un Julia Baek

Senior Scientist II at ReCode Therapeutics

Jung-un Julia Baek has an extensive work experience in the field of science. Jung-un Julia began their career in 2004 as a Research Assistant at Seoul National University. In 2006, they moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Research Assistant. Jung-un Julia then joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2012 as a Staff Scientist, where they developed anion exchange chromatography methods for the characterization of AAV and filed a patent. Jung-un Julia was later promoted to Scientist III and served as the technical lead for the development of DNAPac RP column. In 2021, they joined ReCode Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist.

Jung-un Julia Baek received their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education from Seoul National University in 2004, followed by a Master of Science in Chemistry from the same university in 2006. Jung-un Julia then went on to earn their PhD in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2012.
