Dr. Mandy Hecht

Dr. Mandy Hecht has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dr. Mandy is currently serving as the Co-Founder & Co-CEO at recoupling, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Advisor & Mentor at POSpulse starting from May 2021. From July 2022 to November 2022, Dr. Hecht was the Head of Operations & Business Development at kollex.

Dr. Mandy'smost notable role was at CodeCheck, where they held various positions starting as an Associate Research Scientist in October 2017. Dr. Mandy then went on to serve as the Head of Science, Head of Product B2B, and COO. Dr. Mandy also briefly served as the CEO a.i. and was a Member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Hecht's time at CodeCheck, a leading consumer app in DACH with 4.5 million registered users, contributed to creating a new industry standard for healthy consumption in the food & beauty market.

Prior to CodeCheck, they worked at Surflay Nanotec GmbH as a Project Manager & Senior Scientist R&D from March 2013 to September 2017. Dr. Hecht was responsible for managing key customers, leading research projects, and presenting KPIs to stakeholders.

Dr. Mandy also had brief industry-academia exchanges at CIC biomaGUNE in 2016 and 2017 and worked as a Guest Researcher at Procter & Gamble in 2015.

Dr. Hecht began their career as a Scientific Researcher and PhD student at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, where they conducted research in the fields of analytical and organic chemistry from October 2009 to February 2013. Dr. Mandy represented PhD students in their department during this time.

Dr. Mandy Hecht earned their Diplom-Chemiker degree in Chemistry from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. Dr. Mandy later completed their Promotion in Chemistry at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Hecht has obtained certifications in B2B Pricing Strategy from IMD Business School in November 2018 and in Design Thinking from Brainbirds GmbH in October 2018.
