Candace Cooks

Youth Prevention Counselor at Recovery Resource Council

Candace Cooks is an experienced professional in the field of social work, currently serving as a Clinical Therapist at Authentic Counseling and Coaching Center since September 2023, and previously holding multiple roles at Recovery Resource Council, including Youth Prevention Counselor and Certified Prevention Specialist from December 2019 to the present. Candace has a strong background in child advocacy, demonstrated through roles such as Children’s Program Coordinator at SafeHaven of Tarrant County and Children's Case Manager in earlier positions. Candace has a Master's degree in Social Work from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. With experience volunteering as a Volunteer Coordinator for AmeriCorps and working as a Summer Recreational Leader, Candace is dedicated to supporting high-risk youth and families impacted by domestic violence.
