Andrew Wedlake

Andrew Wedlake is an experienced data science professional specializing in drug discovery and cheminformatics. Currently serving as Associate Director of Data Science at Recursion since November 2024, Andrew previously held the same title at Exscientia from October 2021 to November 2024, where leadership involved managing the Property Prediction team and implementing machine learning techniques for potency, binding affinity, and ADME property predictions. Prior roles include Discovery Data Scientist at BenevolentAI and Cheminformatics Data Scientist at the University of Cambridge, where Andrew contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Andrew holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Natural Sciences, both from the University of Cambridge.
