Rob Cowie

Rob Cowie has a diverse work experience in software development and technical leadership. Rob is currently working as a Tech Lead at Recycleye since December 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Developer at Nozzle from September 2018 to December 2021.

From September 2018 to April 2020, Rob worked as a Senior Developer at MediaGamma Limited, where they led several internal data science-led projects and provided on-site consultancy for a large external project involving complex data ingestion and consolidation of legacy Kafka streams.

Before that, they worked at Skimlinks as a Technical Lead of the Data Platform Team from June 2017 to September 2018. Rob was responsible for designing and implementing a new general-purpose data processing platform, while also maintaining existing systems and databases. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Developer at Skimlinks from November 2012 to September 2018.

In their earlier career, Rob worked as a Software Engineer at parkatmyhouse.com from November 2011 to November 2012. Rob was one of the key engineers during the startup phase and was involved in migrating the prototype system and developing various functionalities.

Rob Cowie attended Ackworth School from 1994 to 1999. Rob then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology & Virology from the University of Warwick, graduating in 2002. Later, in 2004 and 2005, they attended Coventry University, where they earned a Master of Science in Computing.
