Nancy Hernandez

Nancy H. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental advocacy, outdoor education, and diversity initiatives. Currently serving as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Writer & Editor at Recyclist since October 2020, Nancy also works as a Bicycle Education Instructor with both Bike East Bay and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. Prior roles include Service Technician at Trek Bicycle, Outdoor Educator's Institute Program Assistant with Youth Outside, and various positions at the San Francisco Department of Environment, including Transportation Associate and Environmental Outreach Aide. Early career experiences include an Environmental Initiatives Intern at the City of Richmond and independent research in Brazil under a Mellon environmental grant. Nancy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Analysis from Pitzer College.
