Red Dot Design Award Juror And Ambassador at Red Dot Design Award

Joseph F Wong is a Professor of Practice at the Department of Public and International Affairs at City University of Hong Kong, focusing on cultural, creative, and design industry development and policies since January 2024. Wong has served as a juror and ambassador for the Red Dot Design Award since March 2019 and was the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Design Centre from June 2021 to August 2023. Previous roles include Council Member at the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (2020-2021), Vice Principal at the Hong Kong Design Institute from October 2017 to June 2021, and Associate Professor of Architectural Studies at City University of Hong Kong from 1998 to September 2017, where overall management of the Architectural Studies discipline was undertaken as Assistant Head. Wong holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Leicester, a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
