Bassam al-Zarif

Bassam Al-Zarif has over 20 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Bassam is currently the Chief Information Officer at Redeia, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Red Eléctrica for 14 years, starting as the Responsable Infraestructura y Ciberseguridad Corporativa in 2007 and progressing to become the Jefe de Departamento de Sistemas de Información and Jefe de Departamento de Infraestructuras y Operaciones TI. Before their time at Red Eléctrica, they were the Responsable Centro de Gestion Remota at Telefónica from 2006 to 2007. In addition, they worked at Indra as the Responsable Proyectos Infraestructura and Técnico Redes y Sistemas from 2002 to 2006, and at Alhambra IT as an Information Technology Instructor from 1999 to 2001.

From 1994 to 2000, Bassam Al-Zarif attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
