Luis Prieto Cuerdo is the current Director of Digital Economy at Red.es. Luis has previously held various positions in the Spanish government, including Asesor Fondos europeos at the Ministerio de Hacienda y Administraciones Públicas and Subdirector G. Adjunto FEDER at the Ministerio de Hacienda. Luis also spent time in the private sector, working as an auditor at Renault and as an engineer at Alcatel-Lucent. In 2006, they became the Subdirector General Sociedad de la Información at the Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, and in 2003 they took on the role of Subdirector General Infraestructuras C. at the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia.
Luis Prieto Cuerdo has a degree in public administration from IESE Business School and a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Luis also has a degree from Universidad de Valladolid.
